This Gurukula for asrama residents only, is named after Yagna Varaha, the presiding deity of Vedic fire sacrifices.
Re-opened on February 17th 2002, the Yagna Varaha Vidyaksetra, offers students between age 5 and 18, primary and secondary education with a brahminical emphasis. As per gurukula tradition, students receive their lessons, food, clothes and lodging, free of charge.
Students of this extremely specialized school will graduate with a firm foundation in the Vedic sciences of Sanskrit (grammar, diction, etymology), Astronomy (as math's), Nyaya (logic), Vedic culture (puja, yagna, mantra chanting, cooking and music), the Puranas (as history and geography), as well as contemporary academics. Graduates of this school are groomed to pursue higher education in the Sri Rupanuga Paramartha Vidyapitha.
